Wrestler Silver King, 51, Dies After Collapsing During a Match at London Show

World Championship Wrestling star Silver King died after collapsing during a match at a London show on Saturday, May 11.

King was fighting against Juventud Guerrera, 44, at the show when he suffered health complications from which failed to be recovered.

The cause of death has been reported as a heart attack. The two wrestlers were performing at the Roundhouse in Camden.

Besides being a wrestler, King, whose real name was Cesar Barron, was also an actor. He played a villain, Ramses, in the 2006 film Nacho Libre alongside actor Jack Black.

Lucha Libre took to its official Twitter account to pay tribute to the late wrestling champion. Alongside a picture of him, it wrote, "Rest in Peace."

The caption further reads,

Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide joins the grief that the Luchistica family has for the death of Cesar Cuauhtemoc Gonzalez Barron ‘SILVER KING’.

King competed in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) between 1997 and 2000 and took on Juventud Guerrera for the Cruiserweight Championship in 1998.

Funeral and memorial services for Silver King will be announced in the coming days. Rest In Peace!
