Robin Meade made the right choice in her high school when she decided that she would become a broadcast journalist. Many people have trouble deciding what they want to do with their life after education. But HLN’s morning show Morning Express with Robin Meade host, Robin Meade, had it all figured out. And her career has been an astounding one. As of 2016, her net worth is at an all-time high with a very handsome salary.


After graduating with a major in radio/television production, programming and performance and a minor in political science, Robin Meade began her career through a local network in her hometown Ohio, WMFD-TV. She started off as a reporter. She changed networks whenever she thought a better opportunity lay out there. After working for three networks in Ohio, she moved to a job in Florida, where she became the morning news anchor of WSVN-TV's Today in Florida. She also served as the station's noon anchor and health reporter.

Robin Meade’s career took a new height when she joined NBC Chicago affiliate, WMAQ-TV, where she started anchoring the morning newscasts. Meade also co-anchored the weekend newscasts and served as a general assignment correspondent for the station. As for her credits there, she covered the 1996 Olympics, which included special reporting on the Centennial Olympic Park bombing.

And then she finally joined HLN, her current network, which was then known as CNN Headline News. She is based in CNN's world headquarters in Atlanta. Coincidentally, her first day on-air at HLN was on September 11, 2001.

Currently, 47-year-old Meade hosts Morning Express with Robin Meade, along with Bob Van Dillen, Jennifer Westhoven, and Mike Galanos.


Along with her reporting and presentation skills, Robin Meade is an artist in her heart. She has composed and recorded handful of songs in the genre of country music. She has recorded two singles and two studio albums till date.

Looking at Meade now it would be hard to comprehend how such a person could have self-esteem issues. But this beauty had revealed about her anxiety attacks and low confidence and has even published a book about that part of her life. The book is titled ‘Morning Sunshine!: How to Radiate Confidence and Feel It Too’ and was released on September 10, 2009.

And as for another surprise, in 1992, tantalizing Robin Meade became Miss Ohio and was a semi-finalist in the Miss America pageant.


With such a successful journalism career, her recorded music, and a published book, it isn’t a surprise that her net worth is one of the highest among her colleagues. Robin Meade won a regional Emmy Award for her coverage of the 1995 collision between a school bus and a train in Fox River Grove, Illinois.

She was again nominated for a regional Emmy for her report on how to decrease chances of injury in survivable plane crashes.

Meade won Ashland University's Young Alumnus Award for her achievements in broadcasting and served as the commencement speaker for the university's 2005 graduation ceremonies.


Robin Meade has been married to Tim Yeager since 1993. The couple doesn’t have any children reportedly. Tim is very supportive of his wife and her life choices.
