Amid the surging popularity of the #MeToo movement and revelations of dark truths of people like Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey, the sexual harassment accusations that law professor Anita Hill made against Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has mostly gone unnoticed.
Hill had accused Thomas of sexual harassment during his 1991 confirmation hearing. Before Thomas reached the Supreme Court, Hill and Thomas had worked at the Department of Education and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for years.

Speaking before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Hill had accused Thomas of discussing his predilection for porn, including talking about bestiality and rape scenes.

Hill had told the committee,
His conversations were very vivid. He spoke about acts that he had seen in pornographic films involving such matters as women having sex with animals and films showing group sex or rape scenes. [...] On several occasions Thomas told me graphically of his own sexual prowess.
Hill is not the only one to have accused Justice Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment. Another woman named Moira Smith wrote in her Facebook post on October 7, 2016, that Justice Thomas had groped her twice in 1999.
She said in her post,
At the age of 24, I found out I’d be attending a dinner at my boss’s house with Justice Clarence Thomas. I was so incredibly excited to meet him, rough confirmation hearings notwithstanding. He was charming in many ways—giant, booming laugh, charismatic, approachable.
Smith further added,
But to my complete shock, he groped me while I was setting the table, suggesting I should sit ‘right next to him’. When I feebly explained that I’d been assigned to the other table, he groped again…’are you *sure*??’ I said I was and proceeded to keep my distance.
Journalist and author Jill Abramson has said that Thomas perjured himself at his Supreme Court confirmation hearing.

This is what Abramson has to say about Thomas’ hearing,
Thomas lied to the Judiciary Committee when he categorically denied that he had discussed pornographic films or made sexual comments in the office to Hill or any other women who worked for him.
Even former Vice President Joe Biden has come in support of Anita Hill.
Joe spoke about the case at Glamour's Women of the Year summit on Monday. He said,
Let's get something straight here, I believed Anita Hill. I voted against Clarence Thomas… I am so sorry that she had to go through what she went through. Think of the courage it took her to come forward.
Despite pressing evidence against Thomas it is still not clear if he will ever be impeached.
