During childhood, Yankovic was a fan of Allan Sherman, Tom Lehrer, Spike Jones and Stan Freberg who were an American musician/comedian and songwriter. At the time Al recorded his first single, a parody of the famous "My Sharona" along with musician The Knack's "My Bologna."
After graduation as valedictorian from Lynwood High School, Al attended the California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo to study architecture. Weird released his another, a parody of Queen's smash hit called "Another One Rides the Bus," and "Another One Bites The Dust." These parodies lead him to fame, and he became popular worldwide.

Further moving towards his personal life, Weird holds an American nationality and belongs to the white ethnicity. Yankovic married his long-term girlfriend, Suzanne Krajewski on February 10, 2001. The husband and wife are enjoying their married life along with their daughter Nina, who was born one day after their second wedding anniversary.
