Tyron Lancet Woodley better known as Tyron Woodley is a well-known UFC fighter and is the current UFC Welterweight Champion. He is an American mixed martial artist and former amateur wrestler who played for the University of Missouri.
The Missouri-born 34-year-old wrestler is very famous for his fighting skills while he is also in the news for his statement against UFC. He has frequently blamed the UFC as racist and has also accused UFC as a biased organization.

The UFC Welterweight Champion MMA fighter Tyron Woodley is associated with UFC since the last four years starting from 2013. The welterweight champion Tyron is continuously saying that he believes there is racial bias in the sport, which has held back certain fighters including him from reaching the top.
The Welterweight king said that he and other back champions have been treated differently by the UFC and its fans. He also said African fighters are usually treated differently by the UFC.
Woodley laments that he possess a great ability and probably is the best fighter, but he has always been paid low. He hasn't been paid as much as he deserves. Sportsperson should be treated irrespective of their facial tone and ethnicity, but racism is still present in the UFC which Tyron is complaining about.

In the first Woodley - Thompson match, Tyron walked out as a defending champion with a draw. Even if Woodley walked out with the championship belt, Thompson was the one who carried the American flag. He said that all UFC and its fans want is a flashy, handsome, white guy as a champion to represent the US and also claims UFC has less respect for the real fighting machine.

UFC 209 is the upcoming MMA main event between Woodley and Thompson. The fight is going to be held on March 4, 2017, at the T-Mobile Arena, Nevada. The fight was actually scheduled to take place on February 11 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn but, due to lack of suitable headlines for the original UFC 208, it was postponed to August.
Tyron debuted in UFC on February 2, 2013, at UFC 156 where he replaced an injured Erick Silva. The debutant won the match in just 36 seconds through KO. Woodley faced Jake Shields on June 15, 2013, at the UFC 161.
The bout was contested on the feet for nearly its entirety in a largely uneventful fight where neither fighter was able to deliver any significant offense. Woodley lost the match through the split decision.
On July 30, 2016, at the main event at UFC 201, he faced then-welterweight champion, Robbie Lawler. He won the bout via knockout halfway through the first round to claim the UFC Welterweight Championship.
Woodley made his first title defense on November 12, 2016, at UFC 205 where he fought with Stephen Thompson. The fight was a draw which ended at 47-47. Later, the UFC president Dana White stated a rematch between the which will be the UFC 209.
