Virtual group Gorillaz confirm New Album 'The Now Now' & '2018 North American Tour'

British virtual band Gorillaz has announced the release of a new studio album, The Now Now issued by Warner Bros after their last Grammy-winning studio album title HUMANZ. Humanz was released on April 28, 2017. The band also shared a video for the LP's lead single, The Now Now track and announced a series of North American tour dates.

The Now Now will be out June 29.

Unlike HUMANZ, the album will feature only a few guests who will join the band this time and will feature 11 new songs. One of the guests is jazz guitarist George Benson. Snoop Dogg also appears on the track. The Now Now is produced collectively by Gorillaz, James Ford, and Remi Kabaka.

Co-creator Damon Albarn called The Now Now a 'summer record'. Gorillaz's other co-creator Jamie Hewlett directed a video for the single featuring Jack Black. The band has released The Now Now track 'Lake Zurich'.

A North America Tour in support of the album kicks-off at Air Canada Centre in Toronto on October 8. Then the band will hit Montreal, Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, and Chicago. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, June 8 at 10 am PT.
