1986

Graduated in the year of 1986

 He completed his graduation from an institution called Jackon Central –Merry High School in the year of 1986.It was just the beginning of his career. He then later earns a degree from the University of Tennessee.

2008

Published a book on 2008

He published a book name “The Green Collar Economy: How One Solution Can Fix Our Two Biggest Problems”  in the year of 2008.This is the first environmental book written by an African –American to make the New York Times bestseller list.

Launched #YesWeCode on 2015

He launched #YesWeCode event in the year of 2015. This event was an initiative aiming to teach 100,000 low-income kids to write code.  He got support from the musician Prince in this event. He later  gave credit to Prince for the idea.
