Two Tennessee sisters were arrested and charged with aggravated assault on Monday, April 22, for threatening and assaulting people with a gun at a funeral home, authorities have confirmed.

Angel Chatman, 28, and sister Travonda Chatman, 26, even stabbed the dead woman’s sister. The incident occurred at Terrell Broady Funeral Home in North Nashville at approx. 1:00 p.m.

Metropolitan Nashville police said in a press release, the sisters were there to visit of Angel’s ex-girlfriend who recently passed away.

When they arrived at the funeral home, the deceased woman’s family members told them that they were not allowed to enter. This was the thing that apparently triggered a fight.

As per the report, during the argument, Angel cut the sister of the dead woman on her back with a knife. Both sisters reportedly had brandished guns with which they threatened the deceased’s mother and uncle.

The sisters then ran off and got into an SUV and then they reversed into another vehicle where the dead woman's brother was inside. The brother got out the car.

The Chatman sisters have been charged with felony aggravated assault.
