Trainspotting 2 Actor Bradley Welsh's Murder Suspect in Custody

A man has been taken into police custody in connection to the death of Bradley Welsh, the mob boss actor in Trainspotting 2.

Bradley Welsh, 48, was shot as the actor was walking down the stairs to his Edinburgh flat on April 17, 2019.

Authorities confirmed that a 28-year-old man (name unknown) has been taken into custody believing that he is the murder suspect.

The suspect is due to appear before the jury at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 14th May 2019.

According to a police spokesman,

He is also charged with the attempted murder of a 48-year-old man and the serious assault of a 22-year-old man in Pitcairn Grove on Wednesday, March 13.

Members of the public are thanked for their assistance with both of these investigations.

Bradley Welsh is survived by his partner and an 8-year-old daughter.

The Trainspotting 2 actor was a former Hibernian football club casual, a subculture of English soccer fans identified by hooliganism and the wearing of designer clothes.

The deceased actor also appeared in Danny Dyer's Deadliest Men in 2008, a documentary series where the Football Factory star tours England meeting former gang members.

Bradley Welsh was also a boxer and had the British ABA lightweight title to his name which he won in 1993.
