Trace Adkins was born as Tracy Darrell Adkins on January 13, 1962, in Sarepta, Louisiana, the USA to Aaron Doyle Adkins (1942-2014) and Peggy. His father was a mill worker in Springhill and worked 47 years at International Paper Container Division.

The American singer is one of the 3 children, brothers Clay, and Scott Devin ( Scott died in an accident in 1993 at the age of 21).
