Padma Lakshmi can't find the perfect word to properly honor her late friend Fatima Ali! Hours after the death of Top Chef alum, the food show host shared a touching post to pay tribute to her friend.

She shared an emotional video featuring several photos of the pair together and some solo pictures of Fatima on Instagram.

Along with a sentimental message, the clip played to the Carole King’s So Far Away tune. The message reads,

Goodbye lil’ sis. One of our brightest stars has fallen from the sky…. I have no words, but here are some of hers: ‘I dream of being better. I dream of being myself again, but I know I’ll never quite be the same, and that’s okay. I know I’ll be different, and, despite the worry that settles into me every time I wake up, I look forward to meeting that woman one day.

Here's the emotional post, check it out.

Lakshmi had planned to do a Facebook Live Stream on Friday, January 25, but earlier in the day, she announced via Twitter that she had canceled it due to "personal reasons".

As we previously reported, the celebrity chef, who appeared on the season 15 of Bravo hit show, Top Chef, died after a long battle with 'Long-Fought' cancer on Friday, January 25. She was 29.

Fatima, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2017, announced in February 2018 that she was cancer-free. However, later in October, she revealed that her cancer had returned.

Fatima's passing comes 7 months after another celebrity chef, Anthony Bourdain, passed away from an apparent suicide.
