Actor Tom Hardy will play the role of a journalist in the upcoming Marvel movie Venom. The official photo shows Hardy, dressed in a blue shirt and wearing a beaded bracelet on his wrist, jotting down notes.
Hardy’s notebook has something written about ‘pharmaceutical testing’. Its second point is “What about the allegations your empire is built on?”

Hardy plays the Daily Globe reporter Eddie Brock in the film, who is Peter Parker aka Spider-Man’s rival (actor Tobey Maguire previously essayed the role). He turns into Venom, a shape-shifting antihero, when an alien Symbiote gets attached to him.
The film is being directed by Ruben Fleischer, who also directed Zombieland, and will be a dark action film.
As reported by IGN, Fleischer said about the movie,
“We want to be as true as possible to the comic with our film. But our story is primarily based on the Lethal Protector and the Planet of the Symbiotes book.”
“I just wanted to say that I give you my word of honor that I’m going to do everything that I can to deliver the best Venom that I possibly can muster,” Hardy said about his character.
