Tom Ashbrook studied at the Yale University as well as the Andhra University situated in India.Before starting his career as a journalist, he worked as a surveyor and dynamiter in Oil field in Alaska. He has spent a decade and worked in Hong Kong, Tokyo, and India, producing English-dubbed Kung fu films. In late 1980’s he worked for The Boston Globe, where he held the position of foreign editor.
