Three Earthquakes Hit Nepal, 4.8 Magnitude Quake in Kathmandu

Nepal experienced three earthquakes on April 24. An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 struck Kathmandu Wednesday morning.

According to (EMSC) European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale hit the capital city of Nepal at 6:14 on Wednesday, April.

People in Kathmandu experienced aftershocks of the earthquake later afternoon.

According to the National Emergency Operation Centre of Nepal, earthquakes with magnitudes of 5.2 and 4.3 hit Naubise, Dhading at 6:29 am and 6:40 am on the same day respectively.

These three earthquakes come just a day before Nepal marked four years of the devastating earthquake that left at least 8,000 people killed and more than 20,000 injured on April 25, 2015.

Nepal is not the only country that faced an earthquake early Wednesday but the northeastern state of India, Arunachal Pradesh, was also struck by a massive 6.1 magnitude quake on the same day.
