Talented Thomas was born as Thomas Müller in Weilheim in Oberbayern, Germany to Klaudia Müller and Gerhard Müller. He was raised in nearby village of Pähl. He is German and is of German descent.

1993

Joined TSV Pähl

Thomas childhood dream was football. As he was also showing talent in football, his parents joined him in TSV Pähl in 1993 as a youth player. He played from there as a youth player for the next seven years

2008

Joined Bayern Munich

And then in 2000, he joined Bayern Munich as a youth player. He also played there as a youth player till 2008. He was one of the influential youth players in the Bayern Munich Youth club. He also played in the Under 19 Bundesliga in 2007.

Made his professional debut

He made his debut in March 2008 as a Bayern Munich in a Regionalliga match and that was against SpVgg Unterhaching. He made his full team debut on 15th of August 2008, replacing Miroslav Klose and he played the last ten minutes of the match against Hamburger SV.

2009

Singed a senior player contract with Bayern Munich

With the start of 2009, he signed a senior player contract with Bayern Munich for the first time in his life. He was not displaying qualitative football and Bayern Munich was intending to loan him away. But their manager Louis van Gaal listed him in his first team.

After signing a senior team contract with Bayern Munich with the start of 2009, he appeared in the first team of the Bayern Munich from the start of session. On 10th of March 2009, he made his Champions League debut against Sporting CP. He also scored the last goal of that game.

He made his international debut as an under-16s player in 2004. He then appeared in several youth level. After playing as under-16s player for several years, he was called up in the under-21 team in 2009. He made his under-21 debut against Turkey.

After representing Germany as an Under 16 and Under 21 player, he was called up in the international senior team in January 2010. He was also listed in the 2010 World Cup as a German player and in this tournament he scored five goals in six appearances for Germany.

At the end of 2009, Thomas for married to love of his life Lisa Trede. He dated him for several year and they got engaged in 2007. They finally got married in December 2009.  Lisa is a semi-professional equestrian and she use to work on a farm.

He played his first world cup in 2010 representing Germany in the 2010 World Cup, where he scored five goals. In 2014, he took part in 2014 FIFA World Cup. He scored hat trick in his first game against Portugal. He won this first FIFA World Cup in 2014 defeating Argentina by 1-0.

Besides winning the World Cup, Bundestag, UEFA Champions League as a team player, he has also won several individual awards. In 2010, he was honored as the Soccer Young Player of the Year and in 2014, he got listed in UEFA Best Player in Europe Award where he was ranked 4th.
