A Texas woman, namely D’ann Elizabeth Wagner, has been sentenced to prison for 15 years for stealing $1.3 million from a rodeo over three years.

She had been working as a bookkeeper at the Stockyards Northside Rodeo in Fort Worth, Texas.

According to the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office, the woman was sentenced to prison after she pleaded guilty to theft of property over $200,000.

As per the report, she used the stolen money to gamble at WinStar Casino, go on vacations and buy a couple of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

The Stockyards Championship Rodeo is a popular stop for tourists who come to experience in Texas. Tickets are $25 apiece at the rodeo.

Authorities say D'ann was stealing all of the money from online sales for three years, from January 2014 to March 2017.

Tarrant County Assistant DA Brooke Panuthos, which specializes in embezzlement and fraud cases, investigated the case after which she found guilty.

Investigators discovered that the woman set up a Paypal account on the rodeo’s website but linked her own personal informational. She used a debit card from Paypal and spent the money on herself.
