A Texas man, namely Ronald Parra, 32, shot his children and sister-in-law to death. The suspect had just started a job with Child Protective Services and was in a CPS investigator training.
According to Fort Worth police Sgt. Joe Loughman, Parra shot and killed his kids, Alyssa Parra, 4, and Michael Parra, 1, and sister-in-law Melinda Mercado, 45, before he turned the gun on himself.
His wife found their bodies on Monday, April 22, in the family home in northern Fort Worth. The motive of the shooting has not been released.
According to a CPS spokeswoman, Marissa Gonzales, Parra was hired on March 18 and was training to be a CPS investigator.
Parra and his wife had been married for six years. They tied the knot in August 2013 and according to court records, there was no sign of estrangement in their relationship.
Parra previously didn't have any criminal record.
