Teddy Geiger walks the Red Carpet for the first time since Gender Transition

American musician Teddy Geiger has opted to walk the red carpet for the first time since she revealed her gender transition last year, and she chose the 2018 BMI Pop Awards.

Teddy, 29, attended the 2018 BMI Pop Awards in Los Angeles on May 8, Tuesday night. She was honored at the ceremony for co-writing Shawn Mende's hits, Mercy and There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back.

Last October, Teddy confirmed gender transition to a fan on Instagram after her fans asked, why she looks different.

The Buffalo, New York-born musician further explained.

I started talking about it with a couple of my close friends and family about a month ago and it’s given me the courage to start the process. I feel like the next step is to tell all y’all. So here goes. Love it or hate this is who I have been for a looooong time.

Since then she has shared updates on her transition on social media accounts, revealing in November 2017 she had begun hormone therapy.
