Double the joy! Two times Olympic champion Helen Glover is pregnant and she is expecting twins with her husband Steve Backshall.

The 31-year-old British rower who is herself a twin took to Twitter to announce her pregnancy. The post features a photo of herself posing against the sunset as she shows off her baby bump.

It also features another photo where we can see Helen's husband, who is a TV wildfire expert, lying in front of two baby ducks.

She writes in the beautiful post,

Soooo...The biggest adventure of our lives.. 2 little ???? of our own arriving this summer!!! @SteveBackshall

Here's the post, check it out.

Helen said the new arrivals would be "the biggest adventure" of the couple's lives.

The gold medallist, who is due to give birth in July, said,

It will be a big change but such an exciting one. It's something we've wanted together for ages, and we are both really happy - Steve is absolutely beside himself.

The couple, who married in September 2016, found out that they are expecting before Christmas but had been away filming since then.

Last March, Steve told reporters that he and his wife, who currently resides in Buckinghamshire, were not quite ready for a family so soon after their wedding.

He said that they were waiting "a few more months, possibly up to a year" before deciding whether to have children.
