As previously reported, this week, a number of Hollywood’s leading stars launched the initiative whose purpose is to raise money for a legal defense fund in order to provide support to the sexual harassment, assault or abuse victims in the workplace.
The initiative, which involves 300+ women in entertainment, was announced on New Year’s Day.
Taylor Swift, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, More Celebrities Donate to Time’s Up Movement
Some celebrities like Eva Longoria and Reese Witherspoon took their solidarity message to the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday, January 7, and some made statements with their fashion by wearing black to the event, many have decided to donate to the cause.
Additionally, Hollywood A-list couple Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel donated $25,000, along with Blake Lively, Anne Hathaway, Witherspoon’s husband, Jim Toth, and Jessica Capshaw. Debra Messing and Scarlett Johansson also stepped up with $20,000 in donations.
$10,000 in donations were made by Jennifer Garner, Eva, Kerry Washington, Kate Hudson, Susan Sarandon, Alexis Bledel and Amy Schumer. Chelsea Handler donated $15,000, with America Ferrara, while Rosario Dawson gave the fund $7,500.
As per the report, other celebrities including Tracee Ellis Ross, Amanda Seyfried, Dakota Johnson, Emily Blunt, Uma Thurman, Gabrielle Union Wade, Felicity Huffman, Ashley Judd, Gwyneth Paltrow, Marisa Tomei, and Kendall Jenner.
The Time’s Up gofundme page has been raised up to more than $15 million.
