He worked with Travis Scott in his December 5, 2017 release Dark Knight Dunno. Speaking to Billboard in March 2018, Trippie opened up that his debut studio album would feature Lil Wayne and Erykah Badu.

His debut studio album Life's a Trip was released on August 10, 2018. The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart.
