Summer Phoenix debuted her acting career in a television series, Airwolf, as a little girl in 1984. In the same year, she made a guest appearance in a crime drama series, Murder She Wrote, as Cindy Donovan. Which was produced by Peter S. Fischer, Richard Levinson and  William Link. The other cast members of this series are  Angela Lansbury, William WindomTom Bosley, and Ron Masak

Similarly, she has appeared in an American sitcom, Growing Pains, as Jody in 1987.  Neal Marlens produced the sitcom. Next year, she has featured in a weekly 30-minute anthology TV series, ABC Weekend Special, as a Lana.
