Ryan moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream in the entertainment industry when she was 19 years old. During 2006 and 2007, Ryan booked several commercial projects while also editing, filming, and acting in videos she posted online. The videos soon became a phenomenon.

Later, she signed with New Wave Entertainment for the sketch comedy show “Stevie TV”, which parodied famous pop culture personalities and phenomena. Eventually, she was canceled after the second season.
