Steven Avery met his wife when he was 19 years old , he told the media she was pretty and shortly after their meting they got married in 1982 . They had total of four children within three years , one of them were twins .After Steven was arrested and taken to jail , Lori Dassey got very tired and frustrated and wrote a letter to Avery telling "I just can't handle these kids anymore. Between the crying, yelling, talking back and fighting I just can't anymore." They got divorced in 1988 .

Steven was sent to jail as early as the age of 18 in 1981 , he was found guilty for burglarizing a bar with a friend and was sent to jail for 10 months .In 1982 , not even after one year he was found guilty of animal cruelty .

In the year 1985 , his crimes were tripple i.e he had comminted three crimes in the same year which assaulting his cousin, a Manitowoc County sheriff’s deputy; possessing a firearm as a felon; and for the rape of Penny Beernsten.He was put into jail for 24 years for commiting three crimes .

In 2005 , Avery had a meeting with photographer Teresa Halbach who went missing then after .Her body was found in nov , 2005 near Steve's Home .In 2007 , he was found guilty and was sentenced to life in prison .

In August, Zellner filed a motion . The motion claims that investigators framed Avery and the defense is trying to prove this using sophisticated DNA testing that was not available at the time of the trial .

Steven Avery was born on July 9 , 1962 in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, United States . His parents were Allan Avery and Dolores Avery . Their family had a salvage yard which was 40-acre . He has two brothers and one sister .

First Crime committed

1981

Steven was sent to jail as early as the age of 18 in 1981 , he was found guilty for burglarizing a bar with a friend and was sent to jail for 10 months in the Manitowoc County Jail, he was released on probation in order to a pay restitution.
