It's all over for Stacey Dooley and Sam Tucknott! The investigative journalist, 32, and the personal trainer, 30, have split from her longtime boyfriend Sam Tucknott after three years of dating.

According to The Sun report, the couple struggled to maintain their relationship but an insider claimed that their lives have gone in 'different directions' following her win of Strictly Come Dancing in December 2018.

The source told the publication,

Stacey confided in her friends that she was struggling to hold down her romance with Sam because her life has been a whirlwind after Strictly.

The insider continued,

She barely saw him during the month-long tour and has gone straight back into filming documentaries and has been travelling all over the world.

They have a close circle of friends who hope things might yet work out but it’s not looking likely. It was very emotional and has been tough on them both.

When asked about further comments, representatives for Stacey did not respond.

During a recent interview, the BBC journalist recently hinted that there are a lot of tensions between her relationship with Sam.

While reflecting on the ups and downs of their life together, she labeled him "useless, annoying and messy around the house."

Last month, Stacey said on The Russell Howard Hour, "My boyfriend never goes [travelling] with me, he would be useless."

Stacey won Strictly Come Dancing with Kevin Clifton last year. It was reported that Sam had become increasingly jealous of Stacey's relationship with her dance partner Clifton.
