It's all over for Ashley Jacobs and Thomas Ravenel! The Southern Charm alum has confirmed her split with her politician boyfriend after more than one year of dating.

The 33-year-old reality star took to Instagram on Wednesday, August 15 to announce her breakup with a lengthy post about failure.

Alongside an Instagram selfie, Ashley wrote,

I am who I am today because of my failures. I am compassionate because I’ve failed. I am understanding because I’ve failed. I am more emotionally aware because I’ve failed. I’m smarter because I’ve failed. And I understand the values and beliefs of the things that matter in life because of those failures. So I would never take them back. I would never go back in time and change a single thing.

She concluded, "As C.S. Lewis stated so beautifully, ‘You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.’ #NewAccount #NewMe."

Here's the post, check it out.

Ashley and Thomas, 56, began dating in May 2017. Reports of the duo's split was already surfaced earlier this month after Reality Life With Kate Casey host Kate Casey claimed on her podcast that the actress' told her about the split over the phone.

Thomas, meanwhile, has yet to address his relationship with his girlfriend in public. However, on Tuesday, August 14, he revealed that he will not work on 'Southern Charm' for season 6.

According to Radar Online, he wrote in his Twitter account,

I’m not doing the show anymore. In the contract they have the right to fictionalize your story. They took advantage of me. I decided I’ve got too much to lose and informed them I’m not coming back.

Back in May, Thomas, who shares two children, daughter Kensington, 4, and son Julien, 2, with co-star Kathryn Dennis, was accused of sexual assault by two different women, which he denied later.
