Singer-songwriter Ray Parker Jr along with other new and old Ghostbusters cast unite in a photo

In a recent anniversary of the supernatural horror comedy movie “Ghostbusters”, the new and old casts of the movie along with singer-songwriter Ray Parker Jr. teamed up and clicked a blazing selfie.

The picture went viral on the Social Media after Ghostbusters director Paul Feig tweeted the photo to his profile with a caption “I mean, c'mon, how can this picture NOT make you happy? This is an epic group of people. Happy Ghostbusters Day!”.

Ray Parker Jr. being an American musician, wrote and performed a theme song for the old version of Ghostbusters in 1984. That’s why he is a special member of the movie.

It has been known for some time that the remake of Ghostbusters is set to be released on July 15, 2016, starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, a whole new female team. While the 1984 original characters Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Annie Potts, and Ernie Hudson are expected to make a cameo appearance for new characters in the remake.

Recently, the 1984 old characters along with Ray Parker were joined by the new characters on ABC’s show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to mark The Ghostbusters Day. The new and old cast members enjoyed a lot in the show. However, Harold Ramis was missed in the show but he would be pleased with the remake of the movie.

Being a senior actor of the movie, Ernie Hudson, about the new cast members told,

"They're extraordinarily funny and there's a great chemistry with them"

He also added,

"I think it's going to be very good. The script I knew was good. I knew the special effects would be amazing. But I was really pleasantly surprised to see how the women kind of gelled together."

Ray Park Jr. is a well-known American guitarist. Ray is married to his wife Elaine Parker since 1994. The couple seems to have strong love bond between them as they are blessed by four children as a symbol of their love.
