The singer joined the successful K-pop band in 2012, and since then the band released four EPs, four ‘single albums’ and nine singles including Song For You which was released just last month in Japan. Additionally, Minwoo had been also pursuing his career in acting and appearing on reality television.
Last year BTS, one of the biggest K Pop groups, scored the first US hit for a K Pop band in the history of Billboard's Pop Songs radio airplay.
The band is reportedly due to perform shows in Japan in April
