Seo Minwoo, Lead Singer of K-Pop Boy Band 100%, Dies at Age 33

Seo Minwoo, lead singer of K-Pop Boy Band 100%, has died at the age of 33. The exact cause of death has not been confirmed yet, however, local media claims that the Korean songster has passed away due to cardiac arrest.

The group's management has issued a statement which says Minwoo was found unresponsive at his home in Gangnam, Seoul.

The statement reads,

This is TOP Media. We apologise for delivering this sudden and heartbreaking news.

Our artist 100% Minwoo left us on 25 March. He was found with no pulse at his home in Ganghan. Emergency services attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family, bandmates, TOP Media colleague artists, and staff members are all grief-stricken and in mourning due to this unexpected sad news.

As the oldest member of his team, Minwoo led the band and truly loved his fans. For everyone who knew him and was aware of his kind-heartedness and faithfulness, the sadness is even greater.

As per the late singer's family wishes, Minwoo's funeral will be a quiet, private affair.

The singer joined the successful K-pop band in 2012, and since then the band released four EPs, four ‘single albums’ and nine singles including Song For You which was released just last month in Japan. Additionally, Minwoo had been also pursuing his career in acting and appearing on reality television.

Last year BTS, one of the biggest K Pop groups, scored the first US hit for a K Pop band in the history of Billboard's Pop Songs radio airplay.
