Sammy Shore, Comedy Store Co-Founder, Dies At Age 92

Sammy Shore, a stand-up comedian and the co-founder of The Comedy Store, has died at the age of 92.

His death was confirmed by the Comedy Store. The comedy show took to Facebook to announce the death of the comedian.

As for the cause of death, according to the Facebook post, he died of natural causes on Saturday, May 18, surrounded by family at his home in Las Vegas.

His son Pauly Shore, who is an actor and comedian, paid tribute to his late father on Twitter. The father-son duo spent the past 20 years touring together.

He tweeted,

Dad, you lived an amazing life and I'm so proud to say that you are my father. When you're in heaven I'll be killing the crowds night after night and carrying on your legacy.

In addition to Pauly, Sammy is survived by his wife Suzanne Dennie Shore; his other three children Scott Shore and Sandi Shore, Peter Shore; and his grandchildren Lola and Caleb.
