Rosie O'Donnell has been spending a lot of time in Boston on the set of the show SMILF the reason being that the 55-year-old comedian has found a new girlfriend there.

According to the photos she has posted on her Instagram and an interview she gave on the Howard Stern Show, Rosie has been in a relationship with Elizabeth Rooney, a 33-year-old Worcester police officer on the department's mounted unit.

In the interview, Rosie said it was "trippy" to be dating someone so much younger than her. She further added that marriage with anyone at this point in her life is out of the question.

She told Howard Stern;

I think that, for me, being 55, I think I would just rather stay in it for love and not have to deal with lawyers if God forbid it didn't work out.

This comes two months after the news came that Rosie's ex-wife Michelle Rounds died of an apparent suicide.

Rosie has currently been hosting The View. Additionally, she plays the role of Tutu on the series SMILF, which premiered on Showtime in November.
