Roger V. Burton, Jazz Musician and ‘Baskets’ Actor, Dies at Age 90

Roger V. Burton, a jazz musician and actor who appeared on Baskets and The Cool Kids alongside Peggy Lee and Nat King Cole, has died at the age of 90.

Burton family confirmed his death; they said the actor died on Friday, November 30 at his home in Santa Monica.

The family didn't give more details about his passing like the cause of death.

Roger appeared in numerous commercials, television shows and films. He portrayed Zach Galifianakis’ father-in-law in FX series 'Baskets' and in the Fox series 'The Cool Kids'.

His other television appearances are Shameless, Fargo, My Name is Earl, House, Two and a Half Men. He also appeared on the feature films, The Clapper and Manna From Heaven.

Roger is survived by his daughters MariaGabrielleJennifer, Ursula and Charity; sons-in-law DavidGraemeSteve, Aniruddh and Darin; sister JoDe; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral service for the late musician will be announced in the coming days. Rest In Peace Roger V. Burton.
