Following a rape accusation, Australian rapper RiFF RaFF’s tour of New Zealand and Australia has been canceled as reported by The FADER.
Accuser Eliza Stafford on Friday publicly wrote on her Facebook about her unfortunate experience with the rapper when she was just 19-years-old. She wrote:
In 2013 I was raped by a man whose stage name is ‘RiFF RAFF.’ I was offered a shot from a (branded) vodka bottle that was sitting on the table. I was offered a 60 ML ‘party’ shot. I took the shot, it was syrup, and I immediately asked what it was. RiFF RAFF and his support act told me that it was codeine and started laughing. I don’t remember anything from that point.
The quantity on its own is very high as Australia’s Department of Health has set a standard shot of 30 ml.
Moreover, she does not remember anything after the drink; the eyewitnesses told her that she was coerced to get into a car with the rapper and his friends. Stafford shared:
I woke up as RiFF RAFF was pulling out of me and getting into the shower.
After she accused the rapper of raping, the rapper’s tour to Australia and New Zealand which was supposed to start on Saturday was canceled. Moreover, the booking agency Audipaxx also posted a statement on Facebook sharing that the situation was something they took very seriously.
Likewise, DJ Afterthought, who was supposed to be with RiFF RaFF on tour, reacted uncommonly through a tweet which has since been deleted. He wrote:
Well today was interesting to say the least.
Many sources have tried to contact with the representatives of the rapper and DJ, but there have been no responses whatsoever.
