Ray Charles started his musical career at the age of 16, he played piano for bands at the Ritz hall in the LaVilla. He joined various music unions with the hope that it would help him to get a better future and career, however, for most of the time his team knocked him out from the union.

Later he moved to Orlando having more opportunities sadly he has to face large problems and to build up his career and didn't succeed so easily.

In 1950 Charles performed in front of Henry Stone in Miami hotel. After that, Henry helped Charles to record his music at "Swing Time Records". After joining "Swing Time Record" Ray recorded two music Baby, "Let Me Hold Your Hand" and "Kissa Me Baby" from the music he started to come to the eyes of public and finally achieved a career in the music.

Later Charles joined the Atlantic Records where he dubbed, "The Midnight Hour"/"Roll with My Baby" in September 1952, which highlighted him more. Following he recorded various music like Mess Around, I Got a Woman, This Little Girl of Mine, and A Fool for You.

Ray also appeared on the television show Super Dave Osbourne in a series of vignettes in 1980. He also played in four episode of popular television comedy The Nanny.

Looking at his personal life, Charles was married to Eileen Williams Robinson. He became the father of his first son Evelyn in 1949. The couple couldn't continue their married life and divorced on July 31, 1951.

Robison married to his second wife Della Beatrice Howard Robinson on April 5, 1955. The couple had blessed with three children.

Charles Robison was suffering from acute liver disease and died on June 10, 2004, at the age of 73 in Beverly Hills, California. His funeral took place at the First AME Church in Los Angeles with numerous musical figures.

Being a musician Charles has featured in numbers of albums from which he had collected a big chunk of money. His estimated net worth was $100 million through which he used to finance his expenses.
