Lil Xan paid tribute to Mac Miller in a most permanent way! Days after the 'Swimming' album singer died from an apparent drug overdose, the 'Betrayed' rapper, 22, honored his friend by getting a tattoo on his face dedicated to him.

Lil Xan took to Instagram on Sunday, September 9 to debut the new ink, which lines the top edge of his right eyebrow and reads “Memento Mori”. It is a Latin phrase which translates to “Remember that you will die.”

Alongside the close-up shot, he wrote, "MOMENTO MORI. “Miss you Mac, y’all can start hating me now,” with a broken heart emoji.

The tattoo joins several others on his face, including a word “Lover” on his right cheek, a heart on his left cheek and a line of dots down his nose.

In a second Instagram post, Lil Xan shared another new tattoo of black liquid dripping under his right eye, and he captioned it,

I do this for me. I could care less if this makes me ugly because that’s what I was going for, Ugly is the new beautiful, well not really but there’s some truth to that, I love you guys.

Take a look.

As previously reported, Miller passed away on Friday, September 7 due to an apparent overdose. He was 26. According to the TMZ report, the rapper was pronounced dead at his San Fernando Valley home.

Just one day after his death, his ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande shared a sweet photo of the rapper to pay tribute to him.
