GameOva Reedy, the rapper from New Orleans who is best known for her viral profanity-laced song about making love, #ForTheDchallenge, was arrested for letting her 5-year-old son to school in a Lyft by himself.
The rapper, 27, was charged with child desertion in Louisiana. She told the driver of the Lyft to take the boy to his school in New Orleans, according to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The school is about eight miles away from her home.
Reedy told the driver that she would not able to accompany her son on the ride and went back to her residence.
The Lyft driver didn't drop the boy off at school but instead took him to a sheriff’s office in Arabi.
The driver told deputies that he could not take him to his destination unless he will be accompanied by an adult.
Police then took Reedy, whose real name is Reiona Oliver, into custody at the St. Bernard Parish Prison.
According to the authorities, the rapper was also wanted on two outstanding traffic warrants in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.
According to Bossip, Reedy posted a since-deleted Instagram Live video in which she attempted to explain that she wasn’t feeling well and thought it wouldn’t be an issue.
She also said in the video that the Lyft driver told her that it would be OK for her to let the boy ride solo.
