Yang started her career as a member of Taiwanese female pop group, 4 in Love, where she was given the stage name Rainie. Later, she continued her career in the entertainment industry as a TV host of numerous shows including Guess Guess Guess.
After playing in supporting roles in numerous Taiwanese dramas series, Yang portrayed the leading role in the CTV drama, Devil Beside You opposite Mike He, as Qi Yue, in 2005, which lead her to fame. In the same year, she released her album, My Intuition, featuring hit songs, "Intuition" and "Ideal Lover."
After a couple of years, Yang appeared in a Taiwanese Drama series, Why Why Love, directed by Lin He Long. The series was aired on Chinese Television network called CTS. Next year, she appeared in television series, Miss No Good, along with Michelle Chen.
