Rae Theotis Carruth, also known as Rae Carruth, is a former American footballer who played as a wide receiver. He was charged for a convicted felony as he tried to murder his seven-month pregnant girlfriend. Before the crime, he played for Carolina Panthers.
Early Life and Education
Rae Carruth was born on January 20, 1974, in Sacramento, California, United States. He was born to father Charles Wiggins and mother Theodry Carruth. As for his sibling, he has a sister, Samel. His parents divorced when he was 14, and he with his sister was raised by their mother.

Personal Life: Relationship
Carruth had a relationship with Michelle Wright during his sophomore time at Colorado. The two were in an intimate relationship and gave birth to a son, Raelondo. Rae neglected the child and his woman, so Michelle sued him for child support to the court and agreed to pay $2,700 for the child care.
Similarly, he had a romantic relationship with his girlfriend named Cherica Adams. He had a son, Chancellor Lee Adams, with Cherica.
Rae's girlfriend Cherica was shot four times by Van Brett Watkins and his people on November 16, 1999. According to her statement, Carruth stopped her car and other people shot her when she tried to call 911.
According to her, her boyfriend did not want the child she got pregnant with. Thus, the contradictions started.
Adams’ health deteriorated to the situation that it was either her life or child’s. On December 14, 1999, she died giving birth to a child, Chancellor. The child suffered from cerebral palsy, permanent brain damage.
Upon listening to the news of Michelle’s death, Rae fled from his place. However, police caught him from the trunk of his friend’s car at Parkers Crossroads on December 15.
Later, the court found him guilty and charged him $3 million. He was sent to prison for 18 to 24 years until he got out on October 22, 2018.
