Radio jockey Danny Baker has been fired from BBC Radio 5 Live after the host tweeted a joke about the Royal Baby using a picture of a monkey.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed the name of their newborn son on Monday as Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Radio host Danny joked about the birth and tweeted a black and white photo depicting a well-dressed man and woman holding hands with a well-suited chimpanzee.

He captioned it,

Royal baby leaves hospital.

The Dutchess of Sussex's mother is African American and Markle is of mixed race heritage.

The Radio DJ confirmed his sacking in a tweet saying,

Just got fired from @bbc5live. For the record - it was red sauce. Always.

A spokesperson for BBC informed,

This was a serious error of judgement and goes against the values we as a station aim to embody.

Danny's a brilliant broadcaster but will no longer be presenting a weekly show with us

The tweet was backlashed and Danny was allegedly accused of racism, which was later deleted by the radio jockey.

Danny Baker later apologized for his tweet on Wednesday.
