Rabindra Mishra is one of the renowned Nepalese journalists. He is the founder of the global charity, HELP NEPAL Network: One Dollar a Month Fund for Nepal and the former chief editor of BBC Nepal. He is also an actor and has appeared in the movie, Highway.
Rabindra Mishra was from the middle-class family and he was born in a Kathmandu, Nepal. He is Nepalese. He joined Tribhuvan University and majored in English. Then, he went to Punjab University, Pakistan, earning a master's degree in Journalism and majored in International Politics from the London University.
After working as a journalist in NTV and for Pakistan's leading daily, The News International for a year, Mishra joined BBC World Service in 1995 as a producer with BBC Nepali Service.
He was appointed as the chief editor of BBC Nepali Service in 2006 and later resigned on February 28, 2017, and entered politics.
In March 2017, he approached the Election Commission of Nepal with an application to reserve the name Sajha Party (translated as Common Party). The candidate for parliament in the election held in November 2017 from region no.1 of Kathmandu, Nepal, Rabindra Mishra is also one of the two main coordinators of the political party alongside Ujjwal Thapa.
Rabindra Mishra is a married man and he has been living a happily married life with his sweet wife Sarita Karki since a long time. Besides this married life, he is not involved in any kind of extra affairs.
