Pregnant Jana Kramer Reveals Gender of Second Child With Husband Mike Caussin: It's a Baby Boy

Updated On 24 Jul, 2018 Published On

It's a boy! Last month Jana Kramer and husband Mike Caussin announced that they are expecting their second child and now the couple has revealed the gender of their upcoming baby; they will be welcoming an adorable son.

The couple revealed this exciting news via Jana's iHeartRadio podcast Whine Down With Jana Kramer.

They said, "It’s a boy!", explaining that they have already chosen the name of the unborn baby but they will not share it until his birth.

The One Tree Hill star told Us Weekly that news of the sex of the baby came as a surprise to the couple.

She said,

I was convinced it was a girl. Like, absolutely convinced with how sick I’ve been and the cravings I’ve had. I was like, ‘OK, I’m definitely having another girl.’ And I kind of secretly wanted a girl because I never had a sister, so I always wanted to know what that was like.

The 34-year-old reality star and the former NFL player, 31, conducted an intimate gender reveal party inviting their closest friends in Los Angeles.

During the party, the expecting duo cracked open a piñata and they found it filled with bright blue confetti.

Jana admitted that she was hoping for a girl but she's now overjoyed over expecting a boy.

She said,

He wants to raise his little boy [with] respect and kind of do the things that he wishes he would have done. He's gonna be such a good dad to a boy. It's gonna be challenging because in this day and age for boys, you don't want to be too hard on them, but you still want them to know it's OK to show emotion and to kind of have that mix.

As previously reported, the country music singer took to Instagram on June 25 to announce her pregnancy with her husband of two years.

She shared a sweet family photo, featuring Jana, Mike, and daughter Jolie, 2, in which the songstress cradles her baby bump, sitting beside a sign that reads, “Only child expiring November 2018.”

Check it out.
