Plane Crash in Honduras Kills Four Americans

According to the Hondorus State Department, a small plane crashed off the coast of Honduras, soon after takeoff, which killed four Americans on Saturday 18th May 2019.

The plane crashed shortly after takeoff from the Roatan Airport and fell into the sea.

The single-engine airplane crashed in the Caribean Sea, close to the coast of Roatan, which is located 40 miles away from the coast of Honduras.

The crashed plane was reported to be Piper PA-32-260 on its way to Trujillo, about 50 miles away from Roatan.

Prior to this, the officials had given wrong details regarding the deceased's identities, claiming that five of the passengers were Canadians, while the fifth's nationality was unknown.

However, on Sunday 19th May, the Statement Department informed that the four killed in the crash were American citizens.

The American embassy in the capital city, Tegucigalpa is also helping out in the matter.

Authorities from Global Affairs Canada also stated that one victim was Canadian.

Hondorus State Department hasn't released the names of the deceased in the crash.
