Peter Theophilus Eaton Padnos, better known as Peter Theo Curtis is an American journalist, born on 23 October 1968, in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States. He was born to the parents Michael Padnos and Nancy Curtis.


Got Kidnapped

In October 2012, he entered to Syria with an intention of writing an article about abducted journalist Austin Tice but unfortunately he got kidnapped there. He was imprisoned to a Syrian-run prison. For his release, his family got ransom request of 3-25 Million Dollars


Released Curtis' documentary about his time in prison

In 2012, Theo Curtis got kidnapped when he entered illegally into Syria and he was imprisoned there for two years. Depending upon the activities he did when he was in jail, a documentary was released in 2016. 


He started his career as a tutor, where he taught poetry to prisoners of a local jail in Vermont. Based on this experience he published a book named "My Life has Stood a Loaded Gun". Then he migrated to Yemen and continued writing under the pen name Theo Padnos. There he studied Islam at Dar al-Hadith.

 He has reached the age of 48 but it is unknown whether Peter is married or not. So it is unknown about his wife too. There is no source found mentioning about his net worth either.He holds an American nationality and he belongs to the white ethnicity.
