Realizing that acting was what he loved doing, Peter applied and got into NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts for BFA in Acting. After completing his degree at NYU in 2006, he moved to London and studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) where his focus was classical drama. He has also spent time studying in Hong Kong and Paris and holds multiple degrees.
Back in the US after completing his studies, Peter started working with various experimental theaters before landing his first important gig, with the Broadway National Touring Company of Mamma Mia! He moved to Los Angeles after the tour was over and performed for five seasons with the acclaimed For the Record Company.
Porte has performed lead and supporting roles in various network television hits, including CSI: Miami, Medium, The New Normal, Cold Case, and Parks and Recreation. In 2011, Porte entered the cast of The Young and the Restless, as Ricky Williams.
Given his acting chops and deep knowledge of drama, Peter stands out of the heard of mediocrity. Apart from series, Porte has also acted in movies. He starred in the indie thriller The Good Nanny and the television movie A Cinderella Christmas (2016).

Peter grew up in a small village in upstate New York.The first show that Peter did was in his third grade, in a pageant about Christopher Columbus. The pageant ignited his love for acting.
