On Monday, August 20, at the MTV Video Music Awards 2018, Ariana Grande and her beau Pete Davidson made their first appearance in the red carpet as a couple but, they didn't walk the red carpet but, instead, they ran.
The newly engaged couple had already arrived and was finished with their lovey-dovey photo sessions. As they finished their photo sessions, the pair rushed across the red carpet and into the venue.

Videos from the event show the pair holding hands and running across the carpet passing the cast members of the TV series, The Hills that included the likes of actors like Spencer Pratt, Heidi Pratt, Justin Bobby, Audrina Patridge, Frankie Delgado, and Stephanie Pratt. They were posing for a reunion shot.
The new couple ran past the stars quickly to avoid messing up The Hills stars photo session. The 24 years' old actor even ducked so that he doesn't get in the way.

Even inside the venue, Ariana and Pete ran up to the front row where they were seated. Ariana also performed her hit song, God Is a Woman during the show. Likewise, the 25 years' old singer also brought her mother, grandmother, and cousin onstage during her last performance.
While everybody was busy in the award show and photo sessions, some also noticed a beaded band on Pete's right hand. The band had the alphabets, "AGD" written on it. Many have speculated that the letters are Grande's initials.
While in an interview, Grande once told that she would take her beau's family name but, she also told the reporters that she had to keep her family name because her Grandpa had been proud of that name.
So, many of her fans have been dwelling over her after-marriage name, Ariana Grande Davidson, which is set to be true after her marriage with fiance.
During the show, Ariana had a metallic dress that paired well with her over the knee stocking stiletto boots while leaving her hair straight down. Meanwhile, Pete Davidson wore a casual NASA sweatshirt with black sweatpants and a pair of sneakers.
Grande and Davidson started dating back in May and just weeks later, the pair was engaged. Currently, the twosome has moved together in their NYC home and have been spotted a number of times. The pair has even got matching tattoos.
Ariana, who won the Best Pop award for her song, No Tears Left to Cry, also didn't fall back from giving a shout out to her beau while giving the acceptance speech.
