Harry Abdul, the father of actress, singer and dancer Paula Abdul, has died just one year after her mother, Lorraine M. Abdul, passed away. He was 85.
As for the cause of death, Harry died after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Radar Online, who was first to report the news on Wednesday, April 17, did not specify the date of his death. The outlet noted that he passed away at his home outside Los Angeles.
The songstress took to Twitter on Wednesday, April 17, to confirm the passing of her dad, with sharing a series of heartfelt messages featuring photos and a video with him.

Her mother more than one year earlier in January 2018. She was also 85. Her cause of death was not disclosed.
According to Radar Online, The close proximity of her the deaths of her parents is taking its toll on the former American Idol judge.
A source close to the singer said, "First, Paula’s mom dies and now her dad is gone." The insider added, "It’s like an emotional one-two punch."
