Abdul was married twice. She was first married to Emilio Estevez in 1992. Her relationship with him didn't last that long and they finally divorce in 1994. (née Rykiss), who grew up in one of the two Jewish families in Minnedosa, Manitoba in Canada, and has Ashkenazi Jewish ancestors from Ukraine.
