Paul Lieberstein is a Primetime Emmy Award-winning actor, screenwriter, and television producer from the United States. He is popular for his work as writer, producer and supporting role as Toby Flenderson in an American television comedy series The Office.

Paul Lieberstein was born to Judith Lieberstein and Stanley Lieberstein on February 22, 1967, in Westport, Connecticut and was raised there along with his brother. He is Jewish. He holds American nationality and belongs to white ethnicity.

Lieberstein wrote his first sitcom at Staples High School and played the vibraphone in the band. Later, he enrolled at Hamilton College where he joined Chi Psi and graduated in 1989, majoring in economics.
