Paul has been pursuing his musical career since the early 1980s. In 1983, he formed the East German punk band, Feeling B. Christian "Flake" Lorenz and Aljoscha Rompe were also the original member of this band. A German drummer Christoph Schneider joined them later. In 1984, he formed a Schwerin-based punk rock band First Arsch. There he served as the lead guitarist. Till Lindemann and Richard Kruspe was the other two members of this band. They were also called as First Art. In 1992, they released their one and only album titled Saddle Up. He also performed with the bands like Die Firma and Die Magdalene Keibel Combo. After winning the the Berlin Senate Metro Beat Contest in 1994, Lindemann, Kruspe, Schneider and bassist Oliver "Ollie" Riedel were offered to have a four-track demo professionally recorded. Paul and Flake joined them and together they formed a German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein that year. He served as the lead guitarist of this band. Lindemann served as the lead vocalist of this band, Richard Z. Kruspe served in the guitar. Christoph "Doom" Schneider was named the drummer, Oliver "Ollie" Riedel served as the bassist and Christian "Flake" Lorenz as a keyboardist. In 1994, they did their first concert tour under the name Herzeleid Tour. They promoted their first studio album on this tour. Their debut album Herzeleid was finally released on 29th of September 1995. Their second album Sehnsucht was released in 25th of August 1997. He is now aged 51 years old. His net worth is unknown.
