The veteran singer David Cassidy is no more among us!! The legendary singer "died surrounded by those he loved, with joy in his heart and free from the pain that had gripped him for so long", according to a family statement.
Earlier this year, David had announced that he had been diagnosed with dementia. As per the report, last week, he was admitted to hospital after suffering multiple organ failures, however, the exact cause how he died is yet to be revealed.
David was born on 12 April 1950 in New York to a family familiar with the entertainment industry; his father Jack Cassidy was a singer and actor and his mother Evelyn Ward was an actress.

He rose to fame after playing Keith Partridge in The Partridge Family which was a 1970s sitcom about a mother and five children who formed a rock and roll band. The show released several hit songs including I Think I Love You.
In recent years David spoke about his struggles with alcohol. In 2015 he was filed for bankruptcy. Between 2010 and 2014, the late singer was arrested three times for drink driving and was sent to rehab as part of his sentence in 2014.
David has divorced three times and has two children.
