Texas Man, Dylan Oliphant, Sues Dad, Johnny, For Killing His Mother and Best Friend

A Texas man, namely, Dylan Oliphant, has sued his father, Johnny Oliphant, for killing his mother, Gina Oliphant and his best friend. Johnny is charged in the murder of his wife.

Dylan son, who says the murder of his mother and his best friend robbed him in 2016, has sued Johnny for her wrongful death. He is the youngest of two sons.

According to The Southeast Texas Record, in his lawsuit he filed in the Galveston County District Court, Dylan says that his mother was a pillar of his life and the brutal loss "wreaked absolute havoc" in his life.

Johnny, is out on bond, is expected to stand trial shooting his wife to death.

According to a local ABC station report, an argument between the couple got started after Johnny returned home from a bar. He reportedly had consumed sleeping pills at the time.

Johnny allegedly shot his wife during the argument before calling 911, saying, "I guess I won that one."

There were many ups and downs in the pair's marriage. They had even planned to get a divorce. The Southeast Texas Record said, as per the lawsuit, Johnny was physically abusive toward his wife.

ABC has reported that Dylan is seeking a jury trial and damages for pain and suffering and financial losses.
